Why Brexit might help the EU


An interesting perspective that argues the short term pain may well be worth the long term gain. To sum it up, because Britain has remained outside the euro, it has been a barrier to the full fiscal integration required to make the EU truly effective at managing the economy. Brexit removes the most important barrier to full integration that could lead to more direct solutions to the problems in the PIGS nations.
